About us
RedPoint Capital (RPC) is McGill’s first and only finance club that focuses on alternative asset class investing and careers. The organization is structured as a multi-program investment fund covering 4 main themes: private equity, special situations, real assets, and macroeconomics investing.
Analysts are placed into one of the four sectors according to their interests and develop deep expertise through a four-part program consisting of research projects, educational training, real-life firm mandates, and industry-related forums. Through this holistic and hands-on immersion, they gain practical knowledge of the world of alternative asset classes and cover topics that are outside of any current McGill academic or extracurricular offering. The goal is to create a stimulating environment where members will be able to meet fellow students passionate about alternative investments, to explore concretely their curiosity for unconventional asset classes, and to learn the tools required to be successful in their professional life.
Founding Pillars
Excellence
We believe in setting high organizational standards and then trying to exceed them relentlessly. We want to heavily invest in the development of our members by providing them all the tools necessary to reach their true potential. Our focus on constant improvement will create a vibrant and meritocratic environment where the best ideas always win.
Innovation
As our club focuses on alternative asset classes, we are determined to nurture a culture of radical innovation. We seek to be an epicenter for self-starters that are willing to explore unconventional ideas, question accepted wisdom, and find creative solutions to complex financial problems.
Partnership
The club was founded by four friends united by a passion for finance and a desire to share it. By extending this sense of partnership to all the members of the organization, we ensure that everyone owns an equity interest in RPC’s success, creating an inclusive culture where honest debates and uncompromising teamwork cohabits efficiently
