About Us
RedPoint Capital (RPC) is McGill’s first and only finance club that focuses on alternative asset class investing and careers. The organization is structured as a multi-program investment fund covering 4 themes: private equity, special situations, real assets, and global macro investing.
Members of the club gain exposure and develop deep expertise in their respective sectors through a four-part program consisting of research projects, educational training, advisory mandates, and industry-related forums.
Our Programs
RedPoint Capital
RedPoint Capital’s analysts will have the opportunity to conduct, publish, and present immersive research projects throughout the school year. Topics covered will be current and outside of any current McGill curriculum, allowing our members to gain practical knowledge and develop deep expertise in their investment realm.
RedPoint Discover
RedPoint Discover is a program where professionals from alternative investment firms come to connect and share their expertise with RPC members through activities and conferences. We aim to bridge the gap between the academic and professional aspects of the field and foster a community of sharing and learning between industry experts and our members.
RedPoint Academy
The RedPoint Academy is an extensive training program for club members about fundamentals and advanced concepts of accounting, finance, and their applications into the alternative asset space. Furthermore, the RPC academy offers resources required for interview preparation, professional development, and career planning.
RedPoint Advisory
RedPoint Advisory is a financial advisory program where experienced members of RedPoint Capital collaborate to create industry-ready pitches presented to real firms. Our vision is to leverage the knowledge gained through our three other pillars for members to pitch their ideas to real investment professionals like they would in their careers. RedPoint Advisory is the first financial advisory initiative in McGill University’s history.
Alumni Placements
Through exposure to real investment processes, networking opportunities with world-renowned firms, and intensive hands-on training, RedPoint Capital alumni have found success in recruiting for both sell-side and buy-side jobs as well as careers beyond finance, further strengthening the RPC network.
