McGill’s Alternative Assets Investment Club
RedPoint Capital (RPC) is McGill’s first and only finance club focusing on alternative asset class investing and careers. The organization is structured as a multi-program investment fund covering 4 themes: private equity, special situations, real assets, and global macro investing.
Our Programs
RedPoint Capital
RedPoint Capital analysts conduct and present immersive research projects throughout the year. Covering topics beyond McGill’s curriculum, these projects give members practical knowledge and expertise in their investment focus.
RedPoint Discover
RedPoint Discover brings professionals from alternative investment firms to connect with RPC members through activities and conferences. The program bridges academia and industry, fostering a community of learning and knowledge-sharing.
RedPoint Academy
The RedPoint Academy offers hands-on training in accounting, finance, and their applications across alternative assets investing. It also provides resources for interview preparation, professional development, and career planning.
RedPoint Advisory
RedPoint Advisory, McGill’s first financial advisory initiative, has members create industry-ready pitches for real firms. Leveraging skills from the club’s other pillars, they present ideas to investment professionals as they would in their careers.
Alumni Placements
Through exposure to real investment processes, networking opportunities with world-renowned firms, and intensive hands-on training, RedPoint Capital alumni have found success in recruiting for both sell-side and buy-side jobs as well as careers beyond finance, further strengthening the RPC network.
